We're entering the final week of the ValuesVenture competition and we've seen many excellent products launched across the web! We trust the Gallery [valuesventure.com/gallery.aspx] will make it easier to find and support everyone's GB Ventures. Have fun exploring!

TIPS

1. Being a Supporter

You can ask others to support your Venture and even click to support others' Ventures from their page!

2. Launching a Product

The Launch Product panel automatically appears in the Venture Page in Stage 4. On submission of a product, the Facilitator is notified and asked to approve it for the Gallery.

3. Completing a Venture

Facilitators must view and accept all Team Members' completed Stage 4 Check-Ins. A Venture Product should be launched in the Gallery but may or may not have been Awarded a star.

4. Online Userguide

The online userguide contains orientation screenshots and basic instructions: userguide.ventures.me

NEW #1: GALLERY

When you're logged in, visit Shine > Gallery. This is where you can view other Ventures and see what your friends have been up to! Note that rating only works if you are logged in. We're enhancing the facility as we go along.

(i) NDP Internal Rehearsals:

Representatives from our company: Zi Lin, Siew Ling & Yi Pei

Dates: 4 and 11 June (Thursdays)
Venue: GBC
Time: 3.00 to 5.30pm
(Girls are to report 15 minutes earlier)
Attire: GB Mufti (Blue national T-shirt, GB boots and socks, school skirt, GB nametag)

(ii) Sergeants' Weekend:

Date: 5 and 6 June 2009 (Fri and Sat)
Time: 8.30am to 5pm on Fri and 8.30am to 12 pm on Sat (it is not a stay-in camp)
Venue: Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School (Secondary)
Attire: GB National T-shirt, school skirt (with inner shorts), nametag, school shoes
Bring: stationery, bible, water bottle
Lunch will be provided on Fri
Cost: $20 per girl

(iii) West Zone Corporals' Camp (*for ALL sEc 2 gals!)

Dates: 13th – 15th June (Sat to Mon)

(1) Values Venture Competition
Registration - closed.
The official Values Venture Website is: http://valuesventure.com
These teams will be disqualified unless you re-register by 20 Feb. Teams can start their venture after 20 Feb and must complete all check-ins via:

* Stage 4 will be made available only in April as per scheduled.

(2) National Day Parade 2009

Registration for NDP is now open!

Each Company can send up to 3 girls to form the GB contingent for this year’s NDP Parade. Additional places will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

This year, the GB contingent will need 72 participants and 8 reserves. There will be a march past and possibly a city march, so participants need to be fit and be able to march well.

Please note the following requirements for girls in the contingent, as stipulated by the NDP organizing committee:
1. No prevailing medical history (e.g. asthma, high blood pressure, heart problems)
2. Must be Singapore citizens
3. Must march well (good arm swings, march smartly, etc.)
4. Are to have a height within the range of 1.50m to 1.60m; this is for the purpose of uniformity

Internal rehearsal dates will be confirmed soon. Please use the attached file for registration. The combined rehearsal dates can be found in the second worksheet in the file.

are gonna organise a couple of drill practices for you guys.
as you know, the cca open house is coming up ,

practice starts on the 16th of december 2008
we shall meet 12.30pm at the school canteen ,
and lastly please do not be late.
and latecomers must have a specific reason to cover up . ;)
for attire wise, be in gb half u, boots and name tag MUST be on.

I go vivo n sentosa wid my frienz during e holi !!! We go vivo de pet shop to see pets , of course !!! hahas !!! Then until vry boring then go sentosa !!! We go sentosa play sky rider n luge !!! Is very fun de !!! Aftr tt i go 2 e beach n play !!!! hehe play until very late n dirty leh !!! >.< !!!!

I in june hoilday, my mother and I whan to Malaysia to visit and on 8 june08 come home. I on 9th june 08 I attended the first Aid and it was very fun and interesting and the funniest thing that we did was CPR and it was very funny and also very challanging as we did it because we were creeped out by the dummy.

Actually did quite a little tin during holidae...
Went to star camp,
hang out wif primary skul frens to west coast park,
went to 1st aid course,
BT ... still gt go library wif siew ling to du shu ...
N star camp is reali berriie fun de,

During this holiday, I had the most memorable time at the GB Corporal camp, where I met many young gals like all of you. I had a good time being fierce and scaring them =)

i spent my holiday with my family and friends. the first three days i was working for my mother because she cannot cope with her work it was quite fun but it is tiring. after a few dats, i fall sick it was pain.when one week gone , i went downstairs my block playing badminton with my friends.and i revise and do my homework.it is memorable for me.

UPCOMING GB CAMP (16-18th June 2007) at Changi Beach (http://www.camelotsg.biz/)

GB camp 2007 is an adventure camp with thrills such as Flying Fox and the Challenge Rope Course.

We have engaged professionals (CAMELOT PTE LTD) to conduct these adventure elements to ensure the safety of the girls. There would also be other exciting activities such as outdoor games, mass dance and barbeque.

The theme of the camp “Dare to be There” encapsulates the idea that the girls would be challenged to step out of their comfort zones and grow to live as a community through servant leadership. Through the activities, we hope to instill a sense of discipline in the girls as well as to provide them with an opportunity to learn to be more independent. It would definitely be a great time of bonding for the girls!

FINALLY,IT'S OVER!!! Though it has been a tough and strenuous course, it is definitely worth the effort. The girls' resilience was tested and proven...(i mean for those who went all the way; especially CaiYun,Natalie,Bloom, Jean, Sec 3 gals).

Anyway,do not be disheartened by the failure to get the certs, yea...The 2-day STAR 1 course was a good experience for everyone to begin with. "
